Charlie was a professional beer brewer. Although, Katie didn’t care for beer, she loved cider. Charlie made a special cider for Katie’s birthday as a surprise. Their cidery began as a love story. Early on in the relationship they both realized that they had a desire to start a business. Cider was a natural fit. Right bee Cider was launched in 2014. From the start they worked their way through challenges. They are proud of their cider and the journey that has led them to where they have arrived today. . Episode 135 -Winterset Cidery – Megan Farley

Nick and Niña Williams came as customers. They fell in love with the orchard and thought that it was serendipitous that a Williams Pride apple tree resided there. They set out on their journey and purchased the Cidery in 2019 with no cider making experience. Meghan joined the cidery in April of 2022. She entered with winemaking background. For Meghan, she sees so many possibilities with cider. It’s an up and coming industry and she is excited to be a part of it. The orchard sits on 6 acres and produces 30 different apple varietals. They source all of the juice to create their unique ciders that explode with flavor and character. You will want to pick up all of their expressions and enjoy what this little cidery in the heartland of America has to offer.

Episode 84 – Green Bench Brewing Co. – Brian Wing

This episode features Brian Wing of Green Bench Brewing Co.

For Chris and Brian the partnership began as home brewers. The brewery opened in 2013, all along, mead and cider was in the plan. They honed their craft and built up a following with their beer. They enjoyed drinking cider and mead so much in Florida. However, craft mead and cider was not common. They introduced mead and cider to the Saint Petersburg faithful in 2015. We had a lively and spirted discussion about Cidercon 2022, apples, orchards and all that is Green Bench Brewing.
